About Julie

Julie was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1980 she was recruited to Long Beach, CA as a Registered Nurse. For the next 10 years she was an oncology nurse specialist. In 1990 she co-founded Life Care Solutions, a home health care agency specializing in intravenous therapy for the care of cancer and AIDS patients. Julie sold the business in 1995 to pursue a career in Real Estate.

Julie is married to local builder/broker Mark Picking, and together they have raised 2 children in the desert. Daughter Tara graduated from Christian School of the Desert and the University of Redlands, and now sells Real Estate in Newport Beach, CA. Son Luke graduated from Palm Desert High and the University of Washington, and now works in the Biotech field in San Francisco, CA.
